Analyse, design and program Interconnect, Control and Configuration of LU6.2 attached PS/2's. Process consists of NetView/DM, PC NODE Manager, ISPF Dialog Manager, ReXX, PL/I programs
Integrate LU6.2 based TPF, GTMOSI, OS/2 applications
Define, develop and coordinate TPNS LU6.2 Volume tests of 200 msgs/sec. Develop PL/I programs to convert TPNS LU0 to LU6.2. Use TPNS to test LU0, X.25 traffic
Customize OS/2 communication manager allowing TokenRing APPC, LU6.2, IEEE 802.2 and 3270 connectivity.
Design and code OS/2 (MS C) utilities
Production Responsibilities for PS/2's. Token Ring LAN Administration. LAN troubleshooting
Build a DOS based VT220 transaction generator. Prototype software system using DB IV
Layout/configure/wire a testbed of Airline terminals and equipment
NETWORK Fallback and Recovery
Analyse VTAM/Token Ring trace's

Highlights:

An instrumental component in the building, integration and implementation of 'GEMNET', GEMINI's new state-of-the-art network.
Constructed a system that controlled PS/2's remotely. This mainframe, ISPF/ReXX/NETVIEW_DM system was used to deliver programs/data, remotely control PS/2( i.e. reboot, release code, fallback code), to extract data and to automatically rebuild software for a new PS/2. This system is still being used 4th qtr 1995
Configured and built 10 of the initial 80 PS/2's, wired the LANs and cabled LAN's to the 3745 TIC's.
